The main differences that exist in the guides at the wardrobes are the material from which they are made and the location of the sliding mechanism. The following materials are used as materials for the manufacture of sliding mechanisms:
– aluminum;
– anodized steel (steel covered with an electrochemical method with a thin layer of another metal that protects against corrosion);
– stainless steel;
– Polymer plastics.
Depending on the option of execution of the cabinet compartment (“economy-class”, “business class” or “elite-class”), various layout options and different materials used to manufacture the “filling” of the cabinet are used. In cheaper versions for the manufacture of metal profiles and guides, anodized steel is used, which has a large mass. Perforated aluminum is used in expensive models, the mass of which is much smaller.
Also, the difference is used, the material for which is plastic, steel or aluminum. The number of rollers depends on the estimated load on the door leaf. The load calculation starts from 50 kg and above. The higher the load, the more durable the mechanism is made. Sliding mechanisms are supplied to order, which can withstand the load up to 8 tons.
There are only two options for the location of sliding mechanisms: the upper and lower. With the upper location of the door sliding mechanism, the rollers are located at the top of the door, and the guide is necessary from below so that the door does not “play” and does not overcome. If the rollers are located below the door leaf, then the guide profile is attached at the top (either to the ceiling of the wardrobe or to the ceiling of the room).
