Britain’s ugliest dog, Peggy, has won the prestigious Fido Award. This is the equivalent of an Oscar in the dog world.
Peggy gained wide fame thanks to her role in the film Deadpool and Wolverine, where she starred alongside Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. The film was released last year.
Peggy is a cross between a pug and a Chinese crested. In 2023, she won the Ugliest Dog in Britain competition. After that, she got on television, and then on the silver screen.
In Deadpool and Wolverine, Peggy played a dog named Dogpool. According to Ryan Reynolds, the four-legged actress became the main element of the film.
Peggy was unable to attend the award ceremony because she went on vacation with her owner. However, the dog’s owner sent the organizers a video message with words of gratitude on behalf of her pet.
