He practices – the material is durable, but it also over time, even with thorough care and careful operation, can be somewhat worn out. If the surface is not damaged, it can be polished and tied up again to refresh. Typically, such a procedure is required every 5-7 years.
Parquet grinding procedure
First you need to remove the old varnish, for which drum and ribbon grinding machines are used. It is recommended to remove the cornices before starting work so that you do not have to work manually, and the parquet under batteries and corners is treated with corner and eccentric machines.
Parquet grinding should be carried out twice. At first, abrasive materials of rough granularity are used, after that – small. Then wipe the floor with a slightly damp cloth and vacuumed. If the floor was pre -cycle, then it is primed, after which it is covered with special parquet varnish, which can be on water -based (acrylic) or on artificial (alkyd, polyurethane). Experts recommend water varnishes, as they dry quickly and do not have an unpleasant odor. The choice of varnish depends on the desired floor surface – glossy, half -material or matte. The label will tell you what the floor will be after varnishing. The larger the figure in the name, the more glossy the surface will be.
If a primer is produced, then you should choose the soil and varnish of one brand. Varnish is applied with a brush or roller, starting from difficult places. At least three layers are applied. It is considered optimal when 4 layers are applied, and for a mirror surface you need 5-7 layers. So that there are no influx, the layers are polished. If water varnish is used, then the humidity in the room should be 60-70%, and the parquet should be about 12%. The temperature should be 15-24 degrees. The varnish dries and hardens for 6-7 days, after which you can safely arrange furniture.
