Airlines allow you to take carry-on baggage into the cabin at no extra charge. However, each carrier has its own requirements for the dimensions and weight of such baggage.
According to the law, the permitted weight of carry-on baggage for Russian airlines is at least 5 kg per passenger. Your bag can weigh up to 5 kg, and sometimes more, depending on the carrier’s conditions. For details on the conditions, see the itinerary receipt or the airline’s website.
There is a strict rule on how to carry liquids in carry-on baggage. Liquids include anything watery: drinks, creams, gels, liquid medications, pickles, and even soft cheese. Only containers up to 100 ml will be allowed into the cabin, and their total volume should not exceed 1 liter per person. For example, you can take 10 containers of 100 ml or 20 of 50 ml.
In addition to hand luggage, you can bring on board a backpack or handbag, a bouquet, outerwear, a suit in a garment bag, baby food, goods from Duty Free and other things.
