One of the popular materials for facing facades of residential, industrial and public buildings is vinyl siding. This material was first used more than half a century ago in the United States and was widespread and used first in nearby countries, and then in Europe. In Russia, this material has been used since the 90s and is still in demand.
Vinyl siding is made in the form of polyvinyl chloride panels. At the same time, products can have a single profile (fracture), called a “Christmas tree”, or double (“shipboard”). The front surface of the siding can be smooth or textured (for example, imitating cut of wood), have a fairly large color scheme. In addition, panels can be produced by vertical and horizontal.
The demand for this type of decoration of the outer surfaces of the buildings is due to its reliability and durability. Vinyl siding has many types of resistance to external influences of the medium: temperatures, water, wind, chemical reagents in the air. In addition, it is biologically inert (does not contribute to mold, fungus), environmentally friendly, corrosion -resistant. Such a cladding is easy to care for, it is easy to mount it on its own.
But, like any building material, vinyl siding has several disadvantages. Firstly, damaged panels are not subject to repair, so they will have to be replaced. Secondly, this material is fuel, therefore, when operating it, it is required to comply with fire safety rules. Therefore, it is worth ordering a fire alarm installation.
