How much electricity does the heater spend?
Heater, as a rule, is not an economic and efficient heating tool, especially in comparison with the central exposure, not to mention geothermal heating or heating with solar energy. Small electric heaters can use about 3,000 watts, and larger consumes from 11,000 watts and more. Electricity is one of the most expensive resources for the work of various devices. In the case of heaters, the cost of heating using electricity will twice the price of heating using natural gas.
The heater of 1500 watts operating 24 hours a day for a month will spend 1070 kW/h per month.
Compare the general indicators with another household appliances. The microwave oven takes about 25 watts, oven – 5000 watts, refrigerator – 780 watts. This means that the four -hour work of the refrigerator is equal to the hourly work of the heater.
What if you use natural gas heaters? Any fuel is usually cheaper than electricity. Therefore, liquid fuel heaters are cheaper from the point of storage of operation. In some cases, they are also more practical. Nevertheless, they are not recommended for regular heating of residential premises, since excellent ventilation is required for their operation. Such devices for heating can produce toxic pairs that pose a danger to a person and all living inhabitants of the apartment. Heaters can operate on natural gas, diesel fuel or kerosene, but never on gasoline. They are most often used to heat residential premises only during the time of turning off electricity and in emergency situations.
