What is the correct selection of plaster for finishing facade work or for finishing the floor slabs – this is the choice of plaster, in accordance with its operational characteristics, that is: strength, durability, resistance to various phenomena and of course the appearance. In their composition, such varieties of plasters are used: fur coat, lamb and bark beetle, their difference is in the form of particles, as well as the method of application.
Another plaster is distinguished by the type of binder: silicone and acrylic based on resins, silicate and minerals. It is this connecting material that affects the physical properties of plaster during its use.
As we said above, resistance and durability, resistance to various types of influences in each species manifests itself in different ways. In terms of resistance to weather conditions, plaster are distributed as follows: the most stable, these are tar stucco, then the rest. The effect of ultraviolet radiation least of all affects silicone and mineral. Another important factor – resistance to absorption of dirt, the most stable is the right to be considered silicone plaster, but the acrylic easily absorbs dirt, because the resin begins to melt in the sun and easily absorbs all the dirt. The structure of the plaster is also of great importance for its use, because cracks are more easily formed on smooth surfaces and, accordingly, on rough cracks are formed much less often.
Plaster painted in dark tones faster faster and loses its richness. The richest color palette have silicone and acrylic plasters.
Summing up, we can say that all the more stable for external work are silicone and silicate plasters, but, despite their operational characteristics, any variety of plaster used needs elementary care.
